The quality of our services depends absolutely on the quality of our employees. To consistently ensure this, we promote education, training, further education and professional development, all of which have a significant place in our hospital.

The hospital's training area is separate and is located at the Theresienkrankenhaus and St. Hedwig-Klinik. The staff there organise training sessions - also in collaboration with other organisations.

As an employer, we need highly-motivated, qualified and team-oriented employees who enjoy their work and are willing to constructively share the principles enshrined in our mission and to face the future challenges in healthcare. We therefore place great importance on education, training, and professional development, not only in respect of theoretical knowledge, but also in social expertise, in attitude and values.

Human Resources Department

The human resources team is an internal service provider for the around 1,500 employees on all matters relating to the employment relationship. In addition to the monthly payroll implementation, its responsibilities particularly include the personal care of the employees, as well as the further development of occupational health care. Furthermore, we advise the management on human resources issues and work closely and constructively together with employee representatives on all the relevant matters. It goes without saying that our door is open to each and every employee who has any concerns.

Employee Representation

The employee representation (MAV) of the Theresienkrankenhaus and St. Hedwig-Klinik GmbH consists of 15 people. Employer and employee representatives work together in trust and confidence and support each other in fulfilling their tasks. The MAV's responsibilities include:

  • Hearings and consultation
  • Approval
  • Right of proposal
  • Right to apply
