Information for patients about outpatient examinations in the Endoscopy Unit
- A gastroscopy can be performed for all private/self-pay patients; for a colonoscopy, we can also accept referrals from primary care doctors (SHI) upon appointment.
- Please bring your current laboratory values (quick value (prothrombin time) and platelets) if available, your referral and your insurance card with you.
- Sedatives/pain medication can be obtained for all examinations. Please note that you may not drive a vehicle or participate in road traffic for 24 hours if you take sedatives/pain medication. You will also need to be picked up from the hospital by a family member after the examination.
- The following other examinations are available as outpatient procedures to patients with statutory health insurance who have referrals from specialists in internal medicine:
- H2 breath test
