Urology

We can treat all abdominal organs both conservatively, i.e. with medication or physical measures, as well as surgically. We make the decision after careful consideration and in consultation with the patients. Below is a keyword list of services and procedures on the individual organs:

Treatment and Care Priorities at a Glance:

Prostate Disease

Diagnostics:

  • Transrectal ultrasound (three-dimensional)
  • Multiparameter MRI with PI-RADS classification
  • Transrectal and perineal ultrasound-controlled sampling (if necessary, cognitive image fusion with mpMRT)

Conservative:

  • Active monitoring and "watchful waiting"
  • Drug and hormonal therapy in prostate cancer
  • Chemotherapy
  • Treatment of long-term consequences of prostate cancer (pain, urinary drainage)

Minimally invasive:

Surgical:

  • Total removal of prostate with malignant disease (cancer), if possible, with preservation of potency
  • Endoscopic (TUR-P) and open surgical treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia
  • Bladder-neck incision
