Discharge & After-Care

It is usually the doctors who decide when you can be discharged. Before you leave, your doctor/s will have a discussion with you and hand you a mainly preliminary discharge report for your GP. The final report will later be sent directly to the practice.

If you should need assistance after returning home, whether this is with care or help in the house, our social services will be pleased to arrange the appropriate support. Please contact the staff in plenty of time, so that everything can be organised upon your return home.

Before you leave the hospital, please do not forget to deregister your phone and to pay the telephone bill and your own contribution.

Finally, please remember that you will generally need to take it easy for a few days before you get fully back into everyday life.
